Currently we using ARM-CGT-XX, and considering if moving to ARM-CGT-CLANG-X is an option.
Is that version supported for all the TMS HalCoGen HAL layers, and does ARM-CGT-CLANG-X allow for application in ASIL-D level project?
Hello V01d,
Cortex-R4/R5 with/without FPU are supported by TI ARM Clang compiler. But some macros, Intrinsics, and Pragma used in TI V20.x are not fully supported by TI ARM Clang.
Please reference the Migration Guide:
The Compiler Qualification KIT(CQKIT) can assist qualifying the compiler to functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.

See the answer in Compiler/ARM-CGT: New llvm based compiler and tools support from November 2020. Since the latest HALCoGen is 04.07.01 from December 2018 don't think anything has changed to officially add HALCoGen support for ARM-CGT-CLANG.
