TM4C1294NCPDT: able to interface with the MT29F8G08ABABA (NAND Flash Memory) using the EPI peripheral?

Hi everyone, first time posting here 

I have a simple question about the TM4C1294NCPDT and its capabilities of interfacing with the MT29F8G08ABABA. Right now its interfacing with said NAND Flash memory via bit-banging and the performance is not where I like it to be. I recently found out about the EPI peripheral and how its meant to interface with external memory and was curious if the EPI can interface with the MT29F8G08ABABA.

Would using the EPI's General Purpose Mode or the General Parallel GPIO be feasible? If not is there any other alternative solutions then? 

Any comments are appreciated.
