(Q1) Can we expect this to happen every time we test the DMA ECC for single bit errors?

Hi Max,

This is a similar behavior as VIM RAM self-test mentioned in your another thread. My launchpad has RevA silicon, and I will find a revb board tomorrow and test again.

I checked on revB silicon. The UERR flag is also set by injecting 1-bit ECC error. Your code needs to clear both ESM flags (correctable and un-correctable).
