TMS570LC4357-EP: ESM status 2 error when using HalcoGen code

  ESM GP2 channel 3 means you have a fatal error such as an uncorrectable ECC error that was detected by the CPU when it reads the Level 2 memories like flash or SRAM. If you are having ECC uncorrectable error then it is very likely that you do not have ECC for the program image. When you load the program image, make sure Auto ECC is enabled so both the firmware image and its corresponding ECC are both programmed to the flash. Without the ECC, you will definitely get uncorrectable ECC error. You can also open the memory browser and double-check for existence of ECC at addresses starting 0xF0400000. ECC checksums are stored at this region. If you don't see valid ECC then it explains. Refer to the datasheet for the Flash Data Space ECC memory map.

This is not supported. 

You will need to manually modify the the loadti script tweak the flash properties. loadti is basically a DSS script that can be modified (see the section "Customizing loadti" in the loadti document). Hence you can tweak the debugger properties as mentioned in section 7.6.15 of the CCS User's Guide for DSS.

Hi Ki,

I was able to configure flash settings in main.js as follows,

debugSession.options.setBoolean('FlashAutoECCSetting', false);
debugSession.options.setBoolean('FlashResetOnConnect', true);
debugSession.options.setString('FlashVerifySetting', 'None');

correct me if I'm wrong.
