AM2434: What does "TI Commercial" mean in the AM243x Manifest?

Hi,

As per the related question, I would like to know the meaning of "TI Commercial" in the AM243x Manifest. We are planning to develop EtherNet/IP devices. For AM2434BSFFHIALXR with Features=“F”, am I correct in understanding that the device price includes the EtherNet/IP stack license fee? Also, if Features="D" or "E", does that mean that the license fee for the protocol stack will be incurred separately?

Thanks,

Eevee

  • Hi Eevee,

Your understanding about the Feature 'F" is correct. The deice price includes all 4 industrial communication protocol stacks (EtherCat, Ethernet/IP, Profinet and IO Link) license fees.

Feature "E" only includes the EtherCat license fee.

Feature "D" does not include any industrial communication protocol stack license fee.

    Best regards,

    Ming

  • Hi Eevee,

Small correction here part E does not include EtherCAT license fee.It only has ethercat enabled on PRU ICSS but you have to get stack license from ETG.
