Based on the TRM spnu563A page 408 and 426, I have managed to implement the flow to test the DCAN1 which is group 6 and wrote RINFOL= 0x00000020 with ALGO=0x00000004 (i.e 2 port memory).
Waiting for MSTDONE to be set and no error is detected. When I intentionally set the ALGO=0x00000008 (i.e. 1 port memory) to force error condition, but there is no error detected. I am quite puzzled on this part, hope to hear from TI and community. Thanks,
