Hello,
I have a question for my FMEA work: Are the VCCIO, VCC and VSS pins internally connected between them?
Thank you.
Best,
D. Mirea

Hi Mirea,
The VCCIO,VCC and VSS pins in the device are not internally connected.
VCCIO is the input/output power supply voltage, while VCC is the core supply voltage and VSS is the ground reference voltage for the device. These three pins are independent and must be connected externally to appropriate power supply and ground sources.

Hi Jagadish,
Thank you for your answer.
Knowing what are VCCIO, VCC and VSS and their role, my question was for instance if VCCIO pins ( there are more than one ) are internally ( inside of the chip) connected between them. Similar for VCC and VSS pins.
Thank you.
Dan
Hi Mirea,
Apologies for the delay.
I found one old thread related to FMEA for hercules device but not exact same device but it is also comes into hercules family of devices. There i found below information,
All the VCC pins are connected together to the power grid inside the die. Likewise for VSS. All the VCCIO pins are connected in the IO frame. So having one open will not be a big problem in my opinion.
It should be applicable to the TMS570LC4357 as well.
I am trying to contact internal team to confirm the same.
