LP-AM243: PWR ERR LED9 Illumination

Hi,

I currently hold a LP-AM243 lauchpad, but I am receiving errors when plugged in and connecting to the hardware via IT's cloud quick startup.

LED9 (VSYS_5V0_ERR) is always illuminated when the USBC cable is plugged in, this is a 'Power error indication for voltage - VUSB_5V0' according to the user manual. Is there a fix for this?

Hi Winfred,

The Sitara MCU LaunchPads (such as the LP-AM243 you are using) require a USB PD capable power supply that can negotiate and supply 5V 3A through a USB Type C connection. If you are seeing LD9 lit on your board, it indicates the USB PD Controller on the board was not able to negotiate the 5V 3A power it needs to run the LaunchPad. Please make sure you are using a USB Type C power source that is capable of negotiating 5V 3A through USB PD.
