For MCU AM2732, what is the difference between Interconnect and Mailbox ? whether they are the same thing ?

Hello Jin,

I don't think it would be wholly accurate to call them the 'same thing'.

The interconnect terminology is used to describe where there are interconnect paths between the different cores.

The mailbox is how the cores can exchange messages between any two processors cores that are interconnected.

becasue they are indenpent chapter in the safety manual for safety mechanisms. may i understand that mail box also uses the "interconnect" to tranfer data ?

Hello Jin,

The mailbox messages travel via the paths defined through the interconnects between processor cores.
