Hello Aakash Kedia,

In a previous related question you said "The device you have is PGVer : 0x2 which is not supported for security".

Does this mean I can't to any development on the HSM? Please could you expand on what I can and can't do?

Hi Kier,

Your original question was intended for ARMv7r MPU and not System MPU Firewalls.

But I meant, you cannot use the features mentioned here - https://software-dl.ti.com/mcu-plus-sdk/esd/AM263X/latest/exports/docs/api_guide_am263x/SECURITY_PAGE.html

That's right but that was a different topic. In the end I just used the ARM MPUs. Now I intend to use the HSM for AUTOSAR SecOC demonstration.

I've read the document in your link. It sounds like you are confirming that my current EVM is useless for this purpose since I would not be able to do CMAC, is that correct? Apologies but I need an unambiguous yes or no answer in order to justify the purchase order to my boss for a new dev board.

Hi Kier,

Yes, it is not supported.

The PGVer = 2 is not certified (has clearance) for security usage and is not the RTM'd part. Please request for PGVer = 3 device which is SR1_1. The part is certified for security usage.
