AM2432: AM2432 SoC Flash Initialization Issues

We have a custom board using AM2432B (ALX package). I am attempting to bring it up and am running into some issues.

I attempted to perform SoC flash initialization utilizing the uart_uniflash.py and the am243x-lp default_sbl_null.cfg; however, I get stuck on the second step. I have verified the device type as HSFS and am using the hs_fs images.

I wonder if this is because the ROM code is expecting a signed SBL image with board configuration info specific to the AM2432 (ALX Package) rather then the AM2434 (ALX Package) which is used on the am243x-lp.

Do I need to rebuild the SBL with a different board config or is there something else going on here?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi Dan,

It seems like your SBL Uart Uniflash needs to be modified for your custom hardware. I would suggest you to debug SBL UART Uniflash like this -

However this method is for SBL OSPI, it will work for SBL UART UNIFLASH as well. You need to enable the loop and transfer the SBL file via the tool. Try connecting the CCS debugger, and load the symbols. You will have to find the failure in the SBL and try fixing it based on your custom hardware.
