TMS570LS3137: online debug

Part Number: TMS570LS3137
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HALCOGEN

Hi Team,

Could you please help check the followups  below based on the original thread:

The project uses HALCoGen build library related functions, is developed with keil mdk and is still tested with the code in the original thread.

Online Debugging for Testing:

  • With the watch window of the MDK open, measure the GPIO pin voltage using an oscilloscope and it's found that the level flip time is uneven for more than 100ms.
  • When the watch window is closed, the pin level flipping time measured by the oscilloscope is even, and the waveform is flipped every 100ms.
  • When debug mode is turned off, power is cycled and the program is running at full speed, the GPIO pin level flipping time is also uniform with 100ms toggling once.

Also, when debugging online (opening the watch window), it is found that sometimes data cannot be received on the can port (the same can data is sent over a can tool cycle).

The customer would like to know if online debugging will (watch window open) affect chip program operation. Could you help look into it? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry

  • Hi Cherry,

I am just trying trigger the customer issue on my Keil IDE, but i was stuck here. I don't know which compiler version i have to use it:

Even if i was able to trigger the customer issue, the only thing i can do is to just confirm the issue and i can't rectify this issue because keil is not in our scope.

If customer using our tools like CCS, then we can raise a JIRA and can take necessary action to rectify the issue but in this case it is not possible.
