In the data book "AM64x /AM243x Processors Silicon Revision 2.0", Table 4-4 and 4-5 (Primary and Backup Boot Mode Selection) show no port ID configuration for the UART interface. In Table 4-46 "UART Boot Parameter Table", however, "From Pins, Physical port number" is specified for the byte offset 264. Will a port configuration via PINs possibly be supported in future revisions? A pull up/down configuration on the currently reserved PINs would then have an effect.

Only UART0 is supported by the ROM code and there are no plans to support other UART ports for boot at this time. Table 4-1, ROM Code Boot Modes of the TRM shows the boot modes and associated SoC peripherals for all ROM code supported boot modes.
