RM57L843: UART_Bootlader_RM57 Reset Function Questions

Hi, TI team.

Hercules_Ethernet_Bootloader_RM57.zip
UART_Bootloader_LC4357_New.zip

UART_Bootlader_RM57.zip, which is a combination of the two bootloaders above, works well.

I have no problem using a serial bootloader, creating an application for the bootloader and getting it to work.

Question here.

I want to reset the application to software and run it from bootloader first.

Is there a way to do this?

When I jump to address 0, the bootloader starts and then freezes.
How can I reset to software?

Hi WBLee,

Actually, calling address 0x00000000 is not an ideal method to reset the bootloader, because if you did like this then your bootloader initializations will not happen properly because the corresponding RESET flags will not SET.

I mean if you verify the startup file code, you can see we are reading reset source and based on that we are doing the necessary initializations.

If you just try to call the "0x00000000 " address then these flags will not get set right?

So, my suggestion here would be there is other method to do software reset.
