MSPM0L1105: How can host invoke the BSL when the nRST pin is used for I2C in 16pin package?

Part Number: MSPM0L1105

Hi MSPM0 Team,

As I understand, to invoke the BSL, we should make reset and when invoke pin is high at booting sequence, MSPM0 will enter the BSL if there's already firmware.

However, if I2C is used in user application, for 16pin package device, nRST function is disabled.

is this meaning we cannot invoke the BSL of MSPM0 from the host?

In datasheet, "The BSL may be invoked at runtime from application software by issuing a SYSRST with BSL entry command."

but in case the application is not written properly due to the power out during flash update, How can we make the MSPM0 enter the BSL mode with host?

Regards,

Ted
