AM263P4: Migration from AM2634-Q1 to AM263P4-Q1, Replacing QSPI with OSPI

Part Number: AM263P4
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM2634-Q1,

We are considering migration from AM2634-Q1 to AM263P4-Q1

Can we confirm since the QSPI needs to be replaced with OSPI, is the functional safety compliant MCAL available yet, and if not when?

Thanks,

John

  • Hello John,

To clarify, is the question at hand whether an OSPI driver for MCAL is available or whether MCAL is available for AM263P as a whole?

    Best Regards,

    Ralph Jacobi

  • Hi Ralph,

I meant a FUSA/AUTOSAR compliant MCAL for the OSPI driver, assuming we carry over all the exisitng MCAL we have for AM2634-Q1.

I am thinking almost all the MCAL for AM263x which we have already integrated with Vector MICROSAR is compatible?

We don't know for sure is if the MCAL is redone/overhauled for AM263P4 in such a way that we need to redo that work and you need to recertify/test the MCALs heavily?

  • Hi John,

We will have FuSa compliant MCAL drivers for AM263P4 available by Q4'24/Q1'25.

You need to reach out to Vector for AM263P4 integrations with TI MCAL.

We don't know for sure is if the MCAL is redone/overhauled for AM263P4 in such a way that we need to redo that work and you need to recertify/test the MCALs heavily?

You can checkout our release available via My Secure SW and asses the same. We cannot comment on the rework from a 3P perspective.

    I hope you understand.
