Tool/software:
Good morning:
I am evaluating this microcontroller for an application that needs to control 84 TTL signals.
Is this microcontroller capable of controlling that many ?
Do I have to use booster packs for this ?
If not, is there any tiva microcontroller that can be used ?
Regards,
Adrián Llanos
Hi,
TM4C1294NCPDT for which is used on the EK-TM4C129XL board can support up to 90 GPIO pins. Refer to the datasheet for details. All signals are available on the X11 breadboard expansion header of the LaunchPad. Refer to the EK-TM4C1294XL user's guide for details on X11 header.
I see, thank you very much for the answer. I take this opportunity to ask, do you know if there is any tiva micro with more GPIOs available ?
Hi Adrian,
Yes, there are TM4C part numbers with 140 GPIOs in ZAD (212 pins BGA package). Please refer to the product selection guide. https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/spmt285. For 128p TQFP package, 90 GPIOs is the maximum.
