MSPM0G3507: MSPM0G-SENSORLESS_FOC GUI not working

Part Number: MSPM0G3507

Tool/software:

Hi,

I try to use the Sensorless GUI with MSPM0G3507 and DRV8323RS but it seems slau927.pdf matches GUI-Version 1.0 and not GUI-Version 2.0.

1. Is there an updated documentaiton for GUI-Version 2.0?

https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/TIMSPGC/MSPM0G-SENSORLESS_FOC/ver/2.0.0/

I get the HW Connected and I also did this connection.

In https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/TIMSPGC/MSPM0G-SENSORLESS_FOC/ver/1.0.0/ I miss the context to choose the COM-PORT also in GUI-Version 1.0 is no status of the connection.

2. I also wondering how to flash with Sensorless GUI V1.0 and V2.0 with https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/TIMSPGC/LP_MSPM0G3507_OOBE/ver/1.0.4/ there is the Option -> File -> Load Program.

I allready get https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/TIMSPGC/MSPM0G-DRV8323RS-EVM-GUI/ver/1.0.1/ up and running but it is not compatible with SDK mspm0_sdk_2_00_01_00

Thanks in advance for your support.

Regards,

Matthias

  • Hi Matthias,

For question 1, we currently have the updates for the documentation in our content backlog. So we are working on getting these updates out to reflect the newest version of the GUI. At this time I do not have an estimated completion date to give you.

For question 2, typically in my experience, once you connect your hardware to the PC when using the GUI, the application code is loaded to the device. I would expect that this happens with this GUI as well.

I believe that version 2.0.0 of the GUI is still under development so we appreciate your patience when finding difficulties like this when working with it. You pointing this out helps us to improve user experience with later updates. If you run into something that is stopping your development, are you still able to utilize v1.0.0 of the GUI for prototyping?

  • Hi Dylan,

yes, that’s an good idea. I will try to base the development on an older version of the SDK (mspm0_sdk_1_20_01_06).

    Tanks,

    Matthias
