   Thank you for the provided links. I have followed the steps for SoC Initialization and successfully flashed the code as per the guide.

   However, after flashing and powering on, I am encountering an error in the UART terminal. The message displayed is:

   DMSC Firmware Version 9.1.6--v09.01.06 (Kool Koala)
   DMSC Firmware revision 0x9
   DMSC ABI revision 3.1
   Some tests have failed!

  Could you please assist me in troubleshooting this issue?

Lets start by few questions I need clarification on.

1. Are you using AM243x-LP or AM243x-EVM?
2. Is you device type HS-FS or GP? Can be figured out from the FAQ: https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1228618/faq-am6xx-how-to-check-if-device-type-is-hs-se-hs-fs-or-gp?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=check%20device%20type#
3. As per the question, I am assuming you have MCU PLUS SDK version 9_00_00_35 on your working setup?
4. The error of "Some tests have failed!!" is coming after just performing the steps of SoC Initialization?

   Thank you for the response.

1. Yes, I'm using the AM243x-LP.
2. I checked my device type using the link provided. The device name shows as AM64x, and the device type is HS-FS. 
   The public ROM is the same for both am243x and am64x devices, hence the device name is am64x.
   
3. I was previously using MCU+ SDK version 09_00_00_35, but now I am using the updated version 09_00_00_41.
4. Yes, this error appears after the SoC initialization.
   
   Please let me know, how can I solve this problem and what is the cause for this?

I am going to do the same SoC initialization with the version you are using to see if I run into the same problem.

Yes, I am changing the version of MCU_PLUS_SDK to 09_00_00_30. Even with this version, I am encountering the issue where "some tests have failed."

Some updates from my end.

On the latest SDK, I am seeing no problems:

On the SDK version 9.01.00.41, I am not seeing problems as well.

I am also assuming you are using the default AM243x-LP EVM from TI and not a custom board.

Yes, I'm using the AM243x-LP EVM board from TI.

I followed the instructions in this link to permanently flash the code.

After following these steps, the appimage successfully runs the commands. However, after a power cycle, I do not get the expected output in the console. Instead, I receive the "some test have failed" error.

It doesn't seem to be an SDK issue. Once I build the code, the hs_fs.appimage is not generated; only the appimage file is generated.

Please tell me how to solve this problem as soon as possible.

I built the example and I got the hs fs image.

I am using 9.2 MCU PLUS SDK version.

As you can see that both release and debug appimage hs fs images are built.

I would request you to use the latest MCU PLUS SDK version.

I tried building the project with the latest SDK version 09.02.00.50. However, the hs.fs file was not generated.

If you are on windows/linux, please download the dependencies as listed on the following page: https://software-dl.ti.com/mcu-plus-sdk/esd/AM243X/09_02_00_50/exports/docs/api_guide_am243x/SDK_DOWNLOAD_PAGE.html

Make sure you have it all installed and are using the correct version as well.

Post this, can you tell me if the problem still persists.

You would not need to go through this as you already have a HS FS device type.

I got to know that the builds have a dependency on open SSL as well.

Run the command: gmake all

I went to the directory C:\ti\mcu_plus_sdk_am243x_09_02_00_50\examples\hello_world\am243x-lp\r5fss0-0_nortos\ti-arm-clang and found the makefile, but it was not executed.

I ran the command gmake all and received the following error:

To resolve this issue, I added the path to the system environment variable, but I'm still encountering the same error. Could you please guide me on how to fix this?

For me the command seems to work fine.

I am suspecting this might be something to do with gmake path.

Can you actually go ahead and install the following: https://strawberryperl.com/

And then run the same command?

I think this is mostly because of openssl version.

Can you please go ahead and install a specific version.

I see that you already have a version 3x. I want you to go ahead and do the following:

1. If you have not already then add the path for openssl to environment "Path" variable in windows. After this restart your PC and build the application.

2. If you do not see hs fs appimage from the step 1, go ahead and install open ssl version 1.1.1k/1.1.1d(what I am using) and add it to your environment "Path" variable in windows. Now build and check for hs fs appimage.

I currently have OpenSSL version 3.3.1 installed. I will go ahead and install the version you mentioned (1.1.1k or 1.1.1d) and check for the HS FS appimage. I'll keep you updated on the progress.

I checked the versions you mentioned (1.1.1k and 1.1.1d), but they are not available on the browser link you provided slproweb.

Additionally, the link (openssl-library) mentions that these versions are currently not supported.

Could you please guide me on how to install the required version of OpenSSL?

The above error is coming because you do not have CCS v12.7.0 installed in your system.

Can you please tell which CCS version are you using?

Also please check you have CCS installed at C:\ti\ccs1270.

The above is the root cause of the issue. Either use the CCS v12.7.0 or change the path of CCS in the imports.mak file.

If you want to avoid any compatibility issues in future, I will suggest to use the specific version of tools which are recommended in official documentation.

Please refer SDK_DOWNLOAD.

Hello Abinaya,

I can see that you have installed the CCS v12.4.0 and the recommended version of CCS with MCU+SDK v09.02.00.50 is CCS v12.7.0.

Please refer CCS_SETUP for more info.

Also you can try changing the path of CCS in imports.mak file. 

Please refer below screenshot.

While doing the above change, please make sure CCS is installed at path C:\ti\ccs1240.

I referred to the CCS_SETUP for more information. I have also updated the version in the imports.mak file from 1270 to 1240 and

ensured that CCS is installed at the path C:\ti\ccs1240.

I have checked the above example at my end and able to build the hs_fs.appimage. 

Can you please check the CCS build logs? Are there any error logs or some steps are failing?

Also please share the makefile_ccs_bootimage_gen file of the example project.
