Hello,

We created a new project in CCS targeting TMS570LC43x, and also used HALCoGen to create a new project and generate code targeting the same MCU with all default configurations. However, when building the project in CCS with code generated by HALCoGen, it gets stuck for hours with the build progress not past 50%:

Again, the CCS and HALCoGen projects were created per instructions in "How to Create A HALCoGen-Based Project For CCS" (SPNA121B, Aug. 2016).

Please advise. Thank you.

Hi John,

Looks like you are enabling all the drivers in the HALCoGen:

However, it should not take hours, i also enabled all the modules and build the project at my end:

It took less than 15sec only:

Can you please tell me which version of CCS and HALCoGen you are using?

If possible, test on other PC also for cross confirmation?

Hi Jagadish,

Thank you for the reply. After several attempts to build the project in CCS, with HALCoGen-generated source code, the build finally completed, for whatever reason.

But, now there appears to be a new issue. This is the version of HALCoGen that I am using:

In this HALCoGen, if I do File->New->Project, and then specified TMS570LC43/TMS570LC4357ZWT as the target MCU:

Then, if I go to the GIO tab of the created HALCoGen project, I see:

Furthermore, even after I uninstall and reinstall the HALCoGen v04.07.01, this observation continues to be there.

Can you please advise? Thank you.

Hi Jagadish,

As it turned out, this "messed up" GUI is due to the text size setting on the laptops that we are using. We can consider the issue as resolved. Thanks.
