AM2432: The issue of implementing PBIST diagnostic measures for resetting.

We are conducting a security diagnostic based on the safety manual, which requires implementing the MSRAM2 - PBIST memory check and CBA9 - Error codes for invalid transactions diagnostics. We anticipate performing the PBIST diagnostic during boot-up; however, according to the manual's requirements, after completing the PBIST check, a reset is necessary. But executing this reset would result in an anomaly with the CBA9 diagnostic measure.

Could you provide guidance on how we should proceed with implementing these two diagnostic measures?

The CBA9 diagnostic just involved performing an invalid transaction to trigger a bus error.

Can you please elaborate on why do you think this will interfere with the PBIST test?

According to the manual instructions, after performing a PBIST diagnostic test, it is necessary to perform reset operations before loading normal programs for execution. This is due to the destructive nature of the PBIST tests.

Upon completing the PBIST process and attempting a reset, I encountered an issue where the reset triggered CBA9 diagnostic errors; the value at 0x43000270 address changed to 0x80000000.

Therefore, it can be concluded that performing a reset after PBIST leads to activation of CBA9 anomalies and these actions cannot be executed simultaneously.

Hi Jimmy,

After the pbist done, could you please try to use the API sciclient_pmSetModuleState and Sciclient_pmSetModulesRst to reset the core core R5F0_0? Any issue ,please help to feedback. Thanks a lot.

I have run tests in the SDK and modified the configuration to R50_0 core. The PBIST test was executed successfully, and reset operations were also completed. Currently, we are analyzing how to boot the R5F core using the M4F kernel. Does TI provide any examples or suggested steps?
