TMS470R1A384: TMS470R1A384PZ

Part Number: TMS470R1A384

Tool/software:

Tried to program the flash bank 0 1 and 2 of TMS470R1A384, I check if program is complete by polling pin 5(configured this as busy pin). After pin 5 goes low I procced to read the Module Status Register (FMMSTAT), I see a value of 140 hex, which means bit 6 PGM active bit is set. Not sure why this is not resetting to 0. Any reason for this behavior.

  • Hi,

I have a couple of questions.

     - Did you first erase the flash?

     - If you first erase all sectors in the flash and then program, do you see PGM bit remain set?

     - Is the PGM bit set right after reset before you even do any program/erase?

     - Does PGM bit remain set forever?

     - Does PGM bit become clear later on? For example, if you delay reading PGM bit instead of reading it immediately after you finish programming?

     - Is what you are seeing across all the boards you have?

     - Even if you have seen the bit continue to set, can you successfully read the flash? Does it read the same values that you have written?
