TMS570LC4357: DMA Receive Buffer issue

Hi Ti Team,

We are working on TMS570LC4357, in which we are trying to receive the data from SPI2 through DMA.
Where SPI2 is configured as Slave and the data is receiving in the rx_data only when we declare globally and in continuous run while debugging,
if we pause the debug session it's again overwriting with 0 (initial value).

What could be the possible reason for this issue. is there anything we need enable like real time in IDE so that we see the data in rx_data even after we have a breakpoint or pause the debug session.

Kindly please help us as soon as possible.

Hi Naveen,

I think it is due to cache. Maybe cache holding the data that is the reason the main memory not displaying data after you did debug pause.

To confirm this, disable the cache that means please uncheck below box in the HALCoGen.

After doing this regenerate the code and verify the debugging once again.

Hi Jagadish,

I tried by disabling the cache, but it didn't work.
Data which was receiving when we pause debug session was also not seen.

We have tested SPI DMA examples in below FAQ link:
