MSPM0G3507-Q1: error detect for stop bit in LIN mode

Part Number: MSPM0G3507-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi, experts,

It is confirmed in related E2E thread that error detect for stop bit is not supported in MSPG3507 LIN mode. Below are 3 questions from my customer on this topic, need your help to answer them:

1. Why it is not supported in hardware design? What's the purpose on it?

2. Customer encounters test failure due to this detection is not supported, what is the suggested solution? How to prove there is no impact to LIN communication due to it?

3. What is the solution/workaround in real applications?

Thanks.

  • Hi Fan,

I'm sorry to tell the error detect for stop bit in LIN will not supported in further devices that support LIN by UART. And related description could be found in RTM.

This error detect for stop bit in LIN function will be supported in the future devices that support LIN by unicomm.

    Best Regards,

    Pengfei
