LP-AM243: LP-AM243 ETHERNET/IP CODESYS EXAMPLES PROGRAM FOR ANALOG INPUT & SPI ADS858S OR ANALOG INPUT PINS PIN 23,24,25,26,27,28.

Hi,

The ADC0_AIN pins are used for input signal to the on-board ADC (used in EXAMPLES_DRIVERS_ADC_SINGLESHOT SDK example), while the EXAMPLES_PRU_ADC_ADS85x8 uses the PRU core for interfacing an external ADC to LP-AM243x.

Will you be using the on-board ADC or an external ADC in your use case?

• If I use the external ADS8588S , I search :“The ADS8588S is a 16-bit, high-speed, 8-channel, simultaneous-sampling ADC suitable for industrial applications, and it can be configured to accept 4-20mA analog inputs through a programmable gain amplifier (PGA) with high input impedance.

Using the onboard ADC (single-channel):

- The AM243x ADC uses a single conversion circuit with an 8-input analog multiplexer, where only one of the 8 analog inputs is connected to the ADC before each acquisition. Therefore, the ADC analog inputs are measured sequentially rather than simultaneously.

- To support a 4-20 mA sensor signal, you will need to modify the schematic for each channel by adding a burden resistor and any necessary filtering or buffering to convert the current output to a measurable voltage to input into the ADC.

Using the External ADS8588S:

- The ADS8588S is a 16-bit ADC designed for industrial applications, and it offers 8-channel simultaneous sampling.

- It includes the programmable gain amplifier (PGA) and high input impedance, which makes it suitable for your 4-20 mA signals when used with a burden resistor to convert the current to voltage.

- Since you have mentioned the need for 8 channels, this option meets that need, it also avoids possible timing and synchronization issues of sequential sampling, and simplified signal conditioning.

CS_DAP_0: Error connecting to the target: (Error -1170 @ 0x0) Unable to access the DAP. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK). (Emulation package 10.1.03429 ). Please check for this problems.

I fixed  that problems (Error -1170 @ 0x0). the probmes frorm  power supply cables,

Now I have another problem:

System require to upgrade a new firmware.

Durring  the write firmware and it is not complete update the firmware

After Build all and debug , I have this problems

How to wire system to reconizge new firmware , board  and serial # .

I can see the above error (code -260) is coming because device driver is unable to communicate with JTAG debugger. Please check the cable connection once.

How many devices are connected to single PC?
