MSPM0G3507: Out of Box GUI

Part Number: MSPM0G3507

Tool/software:

Hello,
I am trying to use the out of box example GUI. I have opened it on chrome and within the TI Gallery. It is recognizable, but always tells me waiting for data even after a substantial amount of time has passed. I have followed the appropriate instructions, but not sure where I'm going wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Best,
Leah

  • Hi Leah,

Refer to the GUI "Info" page, I believe "waiting to the data" indicates that you are on a successful connection, and you can ignore it to normally test the demos.

Just a kindly reminder, in order to build a right connection, please pay attention to the corresponding UART "baud rate" and "COM" settings as show below.

    Best Regards,
    Peter

  • Thank you! I understand, but the device doesn't respond to the inputs I put on the GUI.  I also double checked the serial port configuration and used the recommended 115200 and correct COM port, so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong.

  • Hi Leah,

I also have a test from my side, and everything goes fine. My testing conditions as below:

    • SDK Version: "mspm0_sdk_2_05_00_05"
    • IDE: CCS 20.2.0

Could you please follow the below steps to try again?

    Step1:
Use CCS to download the firmware into the Launchpad firstly, you will see the red led on the launchpad will toggle after flash the firmware.

Step2: Check the "Device Manager" and do confirm the right COM, just like as show in the figure, mine is COM6. Then double check the GUI Serial Port Configuration, set it to the correct COM and baud rate.

Step3: If connection doesn't work, try click the below icon to disconnect first and then reconnect to see if it works.

    Best Regards,
    Peter
