MSPM0G3519: Can you please provide more information on NonMain register BCRCONFIGID.

Part Number: MSPM0G3519

Tool/software:

As per the usermanual the register BCRCONFIGID has the Configuration ID of BCR Structure.

Does this mean the BCR structure could be different for different micro controllers and based on this ID user needs to identify which BCR structure to use, if so then where we can find the specified values for this register.

Or is it user specific and user can update the BCRCONFIGID as user likes for example increament the ID for every NonMain flash update.

  • Hi Summet,

Does this mean the BCR structure could be different for different micro controllers and based on this ID user needs to identify which BCR structure to use, if so then where we can find the specified values for this register.

The BCR ID has its default value, and different MSPM0 device might have different BCR ID due to it is different TYPE.

Normally customer do not need to take care of its value, we have set default value on each device NONMAIN region, customer can use default value.

Or is it user specific and user can update the BCRCONFIGID as user likes for example increament the ID for every NonMain flash update.

Yes, you can do modification according to your usage, please also take care on the CRC modification, as the BCR ID change will make the BCR CRC change accordingly.

    B.R.
