Tool/software:

In SPI CTL0 register, there is one bit called PACKEN, about which there is no proper description is given. Therefor I need some details regarding the use case of that bit. If i set that bit will that be helpful to send 32bits of data via SPI with the help of DMA, or is it possible to achieve it without using that bit. Please provide clarity on this asap. I will attach the snap of refernce manual for the refernce.

It's my understanding that PACKEN is non-functional. (Though I haven't seen a published Erratum to that effect.)

MSPM0L1306: 32-bit data SPI frame size with MSPM0 L-Series MCU

DMA will of course work fine without it but you won't be able to write 2x frames at once.

[Edit for the archaeologists: Notwithstanding the observations in the other threads, my experiments indicate that PACKEN works as advertised on the G3507 and G3519.

The C1106 datasheet doesn't say PACKEN works on that device, and indeed it doesn't.

The L1306 datasheet does claim PACKEN works on that device, but it doesn't -- the CTL0:PACKEN bit is stuck at 0.]
