TMS570LC4357-EP: F021 Driver Usage

Dear Ti Team

First, I downloaded the FAPI_TEST_LC4357 project from the forum.

I created a new project and placed all header files and source files for FAPI_TEST_LC4357 into the new project. The compilation succeeded, but the program failed to run, getting stuck at the following location:

My project configuration is as follows:

I spent a lot of time comparing the settings of the two projects but didn't find any significant differences.

Finally, I've attached my code. Could you please help analyze what the cause of the problem is?

I placed the header files and source files marked with arrows directly into the newly created project directory. Does this mean code issues can essentially be ruled out, and I only need to identify configuration differences between the two projects?

I verified your project seems like your settings are correct. However, i don't have board with me now to directly test your project.

Meanwhile could you please test my already tested below projects once from your end?

I tested your project and it passed, but I encountered issues when porting it to my own project. I'm not sure if I missed something. When conditions permit, could you please verify it using my program to pinpoint the exact problem? I appreciate your help!

Additionally, I have another piece of information: when I placed the header files and source files from my own project （TMS_90_FAPI_TEST.rar ） into your code project（2543.FAPI_TEST_LC4357_desktop.zip）, it executed normally. This has left me quite puzzled.

Please attach not working code also. And also, i will suggest you compare linker cmd files on the both the codes.

I created another project that copies the F021 API to RAM for execution.

I made the following settings:

1. enable gio、sci1 driver.

2. Set RAM with execute permissions.

3. Modify the link file and copy the F021 API to RAM.

4. Erase sector 14 of bank 0

Executing the program, the issue persists where it gets stuck at while(FAPI_GET_FSM_STATUS != Fapi_Status_Success).

5. Erase sector 0 of bank 1

When running the program, it remains stuck at the line `while(FAPI_GET_FSM_STATUS != Fapi_Status_Success)`.

Finally, I have attached the program code. Could you please confirm as soon as possible whether there are any issues with the program or project configuration?

The only concern for me is this:

You are using below flash library for your application right?

In fact, I tried many link libraries, and finally I discovered where the problem lay.

The library I am using is: F021_API_CortexR4_BE_L2FMC_V3D16_NDS.lib

After that, I also tried other libraries, directly modifying the location shown in the figure below:

Upon reviewing the map file, I discovered none of my modifications took effect. The reason was that I had placed F021_API_CortexR4_BE_L2FMC_V3D16_NDS.lib in the project root directory. CCS appears to link it by default, rendering the File Search Path setting ineffective. Later, I deleted F021_API_CortexR4_BE_L2FMC_V3D16_NDS.lib and copied F021_API_CortexR4_BE_L2FMC.lib to the project root directory. Upon checking the map file again, I found the linked library was now: F021_API_CortexR4_BE_L2FMC.lib.

Functionality has been verified and is operating normally.
