TMS570LS1224: Help needed: RTC (DS1307) read/write from TMS570LS1224 — cannot read/write, request implementation code

I’m working with a TMS570LS1224 (Hercules) and an RTC DS1307. I’m unable to reliably read from or write to the RTC. I would really appreciate a working code example or pointers for a correct implementation on the TMS570LS1224 (either HALCoGen I²C or register-level).

Hi Tanuj,

We don't have any direct example for RTC DS1307.

I am suggesting you refer below i2C examples once:

In HALCoGen Help topics you can find i2c example as well:

The above one is example for external RAM over i2C. You can follow similar procedure from your end.

Along with that we do have also some other examples here:

And also make sure to follow suggestions i mentioned in below thread:

Especially make sure to connect external pull-up resistors on SDA and SCL lines. The pullup should neither be too high and nor be too small, preferably in between 2.2K to 4.7K.

If these suggestions don't work, then i will try to work on further.
