AM2612: FLASH IO Supply (1.8V/3.3V)

Part Number: AM2612
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Hi Support Team,

I have a question about 1.8V/3.3V FLASH IO supply.

The AM261x TRM in 6.2.1 Power Management Overview has a description of the FLASH IO supply, as shown below.

----------------------------

• 1.8-V OR 3.3-V FLASH IO Supply: The 1.8V or 3.3V supply must be provided externally to the VDDSHV_D

(VDDS1833_FLASH0) and VDDSHV_E (VDDS1833_FLASH1) pins to set the Flash IO voltage level. It is

used for IO Bias for group Flash0 (OSPI0) and Flash1 (OSPI1) IOs. For example, if 1.8V IO is required for

the OSPI0 peripheral, connect an external 1.8V supply to the VDDSHV_D pin. If 3.3V IO is required for the

OSPI1 peripheral, connect an external 3.3V supply to the VDDSHV_E pin.

----------------------------

Even when I look at the AM261x datasheet, I can't find any information on which pins belong to VDDSHV_D and VDDSHV_E.

For example, when OPSI0=3.3V and OSPI1=1.8V and using a pin that is not connected to FLASH or similar as a GPIO, I need to know which pins are 1.8V and which pins are 3.3V.

In particular, I don't know which terminals can be assigned to both OSPI0 and OSPI1.

Could you please provide me with this information?

Best Regards,

  • Hello,

How about after that about the question?

This is additional information. I checked using the Sysconfig tool, and it displayed the power domain (FLASH0, FLASH1) to which each GPIO pin belongs, as shown in the image below.

Although it's not stated in the datasheet, is it correct to understand that the voltage level of each GPIO can be determined by selecting the voltage of the power domain (FLASH0, FLASH1) displayed in Sysconfig?

I'd like to know exactly which pins belong to which power domain to use FLASH0 at 3.3V and FLASH1 at 1.8V

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Mars G,

    Apologies for the delay!!

This information was present in Rev A of the datasheet. Unfortunately, this information is missing in the REV B and REV C. Please see the attached REV A version for this information. I have raised an internal jira to the team to update this data.

    AM261x datasheet REV A -   AM261x_datasheet_sprspa7a.pdf

Although it's not stated in the datasheet, is it correct to understand that the voltage level of each GPIO can be determined by selecting the voltage of the power domain (FLASH0, FLASH1) displayed in Sysconfig?

    Yes, this is correct.

    Thanks & Regards,
