I've reviewed the relevant forum content I referenced. Could you please elaborate further on the hardware protection mechanism?

Why can a one-time programmable area only be programmed once? Is this mechanism similar to anti-fuse technology? Does this principle possess radiation-resistant properties?

Hi Shuo,

In the TMS570LC4357 microcontroller, OTP memory can only be programmed once because of its physical design:

OTP typically uses anti-fuse technology (similar to what you suggested)
Unlike standard fuses that start connected and break when programmed, anti-fuses:
- Start as high-resistance/open connections
- When programmed, create permanent low-resistance connections
- This physical change is irreversible
