Part Number: CCSTUDIO
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS570LC4357, LAUNCHXL2-570LC43, HALCOGEN
I am using LAUNCHXL2-570LC43 to evaluate the TMS570LC4357 processor. Is this an outdated board? because it seems like the documentation online including tutorials and resources are for older version of code composer studio and can't quite be followed with the CCS version I have.
I found this link: 1.1. Getting Started with Hercules MCU — Hercules Safety MCUs Documentation but if I click the example projects the links do not load.
I tried this tutorial Hercules Tutorial: Turning on the LEDs - YouTube and was able to use HALCOGen to generate some code, but I can't import it into CCS following the video.
I have downloaded CCS 20.4.1, and the Hercules Safety MCU demos version 4.0.0 but they do not seem compatible because I get an error "ERROR: The ARMv4.9.5 compiler, or any version compatible with it, is not currently installed! Please migrate the project to one of the supported compilers first. " when trying to open it in CCS, and this is by opening the folder since I can't seem to find a workspace file to load. Is this valid error and I should migrate my project, or is the correct solution to find and install this compiler?
What is the correct set of resources to use to get started with this evaluation board and processor?
