AM62P: How to use customized lpddr4 Samsung K4F8E3S4HD-GFCL

I have already use the K4F8E3S4HD_5F00_TIedits.syscfg  and new board_ddrReginit.h  replace  the old 

mcu_plus_sdk_am62px_11_00_00_16/source/drivers/ddr/v1/soc/am62px/board_ddrReginit.h

Then  I use DDR test example  ddr_perf_app.debug.appimage.hs_fs , it can not output any logs

there is my dowload APP  log , it is ok 

Why  the example  ddr_perf_app.debug.appimage.hs_fs can not output anything  from  WKUP_UART0_Tx ?

Please check in your example.syscfg file, Is the UART logging enabled?

Also check which UART instance is used?

Also, can you please confirm by opening all ports and check does the output come or not?

I am sure that  UART logging is by  enabled , you can check 

I use WKUP_UART0_RXD  D8 pin and WKUP_UART0_TXD D7 pin  

if  I use example   ipc_rpmsg_echo  APP   , it can output  log

if I use AM62P EVM board it can output log

Then my customize board use new LPDDR4 ,  why the example  ddr_perf_app.debug.appimage.hs_fs can not output any logs ?

Can you please try to debug the application and check is it really executing the DebugP_log instruction in the application?

To debug application on WKUP R5F core follow the steps mentioned at  [FAQ] AM62X/AM64X : [FAQ] Debugging SBL boot in RTOS SDK 

You will need to include a loop forever at the start of the application, rebuild and flash it. Once the application is flashed, connect to the WKUP R5F core and do load symbols. After loading the symbols do a step by step execution and check is the example running fine or not.

However ,  Why my customize board output log is different with  AM62P EVM board output log ,when I use the same app   ipc_rpmsg_echo ?

why the example  ddr_perf_app.debug.appimage.hs_fs APP  can not output any logs at my customize board ?

Have you done the experiment as suggested in my earlier reply?

Have you halt the CPU and check which instruction it is currently executing?

Without enough information, it is not possible to identify root cause.

our  customize board  have no OSPI flash ， so we can not use the sbl_null   , we have no JTAG , so we can not debug use CCS

Do you have use another method , such as wkup MCU R5 CORE UART debug ?

Now  I use UART boot mode , the hardware board is first by  used ,

I have no  running Linux on A53 cores, because , my hardware board  is first by made , we use new LPDDR4    new QSPI  flash  new EMMC , they are different with AM62P EVM board 

so I don't  know  my hardware board  is ok or not , I don't  know  my new LPDDR4 code   is ok or not

we hope we can use   example  ddr_perf_app.debug.appimage.hs_fs   APP  test  hardware  and LPDDR4 code is ok or not  at  UART boot mode

so , whether or not  we can use  UART boot mode  running sbl_null demo test SOC ?

Hi Pengfei,

Please put Debug statements in your code after each function call and check from which function the prints are not coming.

This way you can narrow down the issue and able to find root cause.
