Hi,

I am getting denied for access to stellaris launchpad EK-LM4F120XL.

I understand that the kit is old and not actively maintained, but since my kit is in full working condition, all I require is the old support files for CCS to compile code for it as even Energia IDE is not available anymore.

Kindly help in accessing the required files for this board.

general speaking, You do not need the deprecated StellarisWare software or older, restricted support files to use your EK-LM4F120XL board.

The LM4F120H5QR chip on your Stellaris LaunchPad is silicon-identical to the TM4C1233H6PM and virtually identical to the popular TM4C123GH6PM. You can bypass the restricted or broken Stellaris downloads entirely and program your board using modern, readily available utilities:

1. Code Composer Studio (CCS) Integration

Instead of looking for a Stellaris add-on, install a modern version of TI Code Composer Studio.

During installation, ensure you select TM4C123x Series / Tiva C Series Cortex-M4 Microcontrollers under target support.
When creating a new project, simply select TM4C123GH6PM (or TM4C1233H6PM) as your target device.
Code compiled under a TM4C123 target will load and flash cleanly onto your LM4F120XL board.

2. Swap StellarisWare for TivaWare

StellarisWare is completely replaced by TI TivaWare for C Series. It contains all the necessary libraries, register definitions, and peripheral drivers for your microcontroller.

Download and install the latest TivaWare package.
If compiler definitions ever throw errors regarding device matching, adding preprocessor symbols like PART_IS_TM4C123_RA3 or TARGET_LM4F120H5QR in your CCS project settings will cleanly resolve it Stellaris LM4F120 LaunchPad

Thank You so much for a very timely response!

Some AI tools had thrown me off and instead i had not selected the Tiva C Wares.

I am able to compile the codes now. Still had to debug a bit more to migrate to the new compilers, but able to make it work.
