LP-MSPM0G3519: Detecting active debug session at runtime

Part Number: LP-MSPM0G3519

Hello,

since ADC0 results are unstable while debugging on MSPM0Gx51x controllers (see:  https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/arm-based-microcontrollers-group/arm-based-microcontrollers/f/arm-based-microcontrollers-forum/1674902/lp-mspm0g3519-adc0-stability-issues ) , we would like to detect if a debug session is active at runtime and adjust some diagnosis thresholds.

One possibility to do this seems to be checking  "DEBUGSS_IIDX_STAT_PWRDWN" and "DEBUGSS_IIDX_STAT_PWRUP", although two major things are not working, which makes this possibility unpractical for our needs:

    1. When flashing along with starting a debug session, "DEBUGSS_IIDX_STAT_PWRUP" is not set and thus no active debug session is detected.
    2. When disconnecting the debugger physically while a debug session is active, "DEBUGSS_IIDX_STAT_PWRDWN" is not set and thus no loss of debug activity is detected.

Is there another way to check for an active debug session at runtime?

Thanks in advance
