I posted to the TI C/C++ Compiler forum but I'm not sure which is the appropriate one so I'll just post a link to it here.

In summary, I'm having problems running a project using the linker generate ECC. I'm not certain that my linker script is correct and haven't been able to find the appropriate documentation for verifying it.

I think it is necessary to use the palign(32) option in the section definition.
Can you make a try and let me know.

The palign() for the sections is a good input, I always use this when generating ECC or CRC with the linker.
But in my opinion a palign(8) should be sufficient for ECC on current devices, as the ECC is generated per 64bits = 8*8bits = 8Bytes. If the remaining 8Bytes in a flash row aren't used the the linker should fill them with all ones (0xFF...) as defined with the (v)fill operator.

I haven't been able to verify whether palign() is necessary or not. I'm having issues loading the executable to the TMS570 (erasing flash fails) at the moment.
