1. Yes your understanding is correct. Only change is "LM Flash programer" works some times.

2. We are using EK-TM4C123GXL.

3. Since same binary works some times we have not tried different binary.

Connections are 0/3.3V , TDO , TDI , TMS , TCK.

It is GND of 3.3V supply. We are only connecting GND.

I have attached a snapshot of the board. I am using a EK-TM4C123GXL to debug a EK-TM4C1294XL. The changes that you should note

1. The header on the EK-TM4C123GXL close to R17 has been removed to power down the main MCU

2. The TCK, TMS, TDI, TDO, RST and GND from the EK-TM4C123GXL has been taken to the other board

3. While TCK, TMS, RST and GND are connected as is on both the boards, TDI from the EK-TM4C123GXL is to be connected to TDI Pin on the TM4C129 Board's Main TM4C129 MCU and same for TDO.

Using this method I can download a large project (almost 512K+ onto the TM4C129 board), verify the contents and execute the code.

We also do not use this header.

2. The TCK, TMS, TDI, TDO, RST and GND from the EK-TM4C123GXL has been taken to the other board

As I explained you earlier, we have not used RST connection.

I have attached snapshot of circuit. Shall I connect RST to output of U2 pin 6 ?. This pin is directly connected to Pin 63 of TM4C123GH6PZ.

3. While TCK, TMS, RST and GND are connected as is on both the boards, TDI from the EK-TM4C123GXL is to be connected to TDI Pin on the TM4C129 Board's Main TM4C129 MCU and same for TDO.

One thing I have noted – You have taken 3.3V & GND from J3 header. We are not using 3.3V from EK-TM4C123GXL & only taking GND from J3.

We supply 5V to our board & generate 3.3V on board Refer diagram..

We have not loaded CCS on the laptop. We have tried using 2 / 3 different laptops with different operating system as well as on one of them CCS is loaded.

Does it have any relation with already running software when we power on ?

Is there any specific method which will disable or pause running software .

There are no other wires. We are using only 4 wires. All other wires are open from both ends. I do not think it is because of cross talk.

UNIFLASH is not seen in start program list & also it is not seen in installed program list in control panel - Add/Remove program.

I was away for a while.

Actually initially we were using single wires connected directly - same as you have used in your test set up. ( As seen in photo). Then we thought it may be cause of problem & we switched to ribbon cable.

Is there any other test we can do ? Is it possible to monitor some waveforms & may find some clue ?
