Hi,
I’m facing another problem in using TMS570LS20216 processor connected with TPS65381 power management IC. I posted my question in PMIC Forum but unfortunately nobody has answered me by now. I kindly need your help again.
This is my post to PMIC Forum
The problem is I programmed the micro to run the watchdog function. In my program I set DIS_NRES_MON register to enable NRES monitoring. By setting this, meanwhile I could see the SPI communication between two devices, the MCU was resetting continuously. Resetting the micro made me unable to connect the board and reprogram it.
In our circuit schematic, the ERROR pin of the TPS is connected directly to the MCU’s. I short the ERROR pin to 5V to force the active low error signal to high and prevent resetting the micro (maybe). I don't know if this caused the problem or something else happened.
Now the situation is, the nRST pin is not going high from the start up and I’m not able to flash program. The correct voltages are coming to the VCC and VCCIO pins, besides the Error pin is low and the PORRST is high.
Moreover another problem is in this condition it seems that the core draws very high current, since the MOSFET transistor in TPS circuit (which its source is connected to the 1.5V of MCU) is extremely hot and I can’t keep the board on more than few seconds. I don’t know what is happening...
I kindly need your help
