TMS570LS3137: TRST circuitry

Part Number: TMS570LS3137

Hi,

I need to ask the question about TRST  again for this device. My typical understanding is that TRST has an internal PD resistor, and typically is PD externally as well. If no emulator is connected, and POR comes out of reset, the chip should run with TRST pulled down, and in low state to keep the emulation logic in reset.

However in the TMS570LS3137 RDK, I see a circuitry with a FET and a PU resistor that causes the TRST pin to be pulled up when POR is high.

Is this correct? It would be the opposite of the typical PD resistor on TRST.

Could you explain what is specifically needed for this device?

Thanks,
