TMS570LC4357: HET as MibSPI external trigger

so there is an internal mapping from NHET1 to mibspi for the trigger. can I setup a NHET1[8] then as an edge capture and if there is a LOW on the NHET1[8] pin/pad it will somehow cause the MIBSPI to be triggered?

Hello Nino,

If the MibSPI use NHET1[8] as trigger source and the trigger event is LOW-Active, the LOW of NHET1[8] will trigger MibSPI group transfer. If ONESHOT is set, the transfer is only performed once.

the MibSPI transfer group will occur if the nHET1[8] signal is generated via the NHET PWM. Since the MibSPI cannot be triggered externally I am looking to using the NHET assembly code to check N2HET[18] and set/clear the N2HET[8].

coding up a new NHET assembly code to check an external pin and updating the trigger pin bypassed the limitation.
