Tool/software: Code Composer Studio
I just got the TM4C129X DK and installed CCS v6.2.0.00046. I loaded the "blinky" example but I get "Error connecting to target" error. What should my target settings be?

Is there a reason you are using CCS 6.2 (which is quite an old version)? For new development, we recommend starting with the latest versions of CCS and TivaWare.
Please check these related posts that have suggestions to resolve this type of error.

I have installed the latest CCS and TivaWare and downloaded the LM Flash Programmer to unlock the debug port. After performing the debug port unlock I attempted to erase the entire flash as a target test and I get "**ERROR**: Unable to initialize taget - 0!" Error Message popup.
Robert,
Did you make sure to go through the unlock steps as described in this post? There are specific steps to be followed.
I will move this thread to the TM4C forums so the experts there can assist further if you continue to have trouble.
Is this a new DK-TM4C129X board, or one that has been used by others in your company? When you connect the micro USB cable (upper right corner) do you see the green LED (D1 ) in the upper right corner, orange 5V D9, and green 3.3V D10 (both on left edge) lit?

When you connect do you see Stellaris ICDI in your device manager?
When you tried the device unlock, were you attached to the "Debugger USB" or the "USB OTG" connector?
Just tried a different computer (Win 7) and I get the same message. Cannot initialize target.
Can you find out if this board was working for the previous user? Could it have been damaged and then just put on the shelf? Do you have access to a different board to try?
I took the board to one of the previous two users and he tried to connect on his computer but has the same issue, unable to initialize target. I am waiting to hear from the other user.
We only have the one board.
