Hi, is there a Hercules motor control library similar to that available for the C2000 series? From looking at the forums there were at least some examples in Motorware but this has been discontinued. I'm looking for implementations of clarke/park transform, space-vector PWM calculation etc that would speed up development for a PM motor controller, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel.

Also, I've not been able to find this for C2000 in C2000ware either, has it still not been ported from controlsuite?

    Hi Eric,

    We had done a reference design for demonstrating motor control using Hercules MCUs. The kit that is used in this demonstration and the TMS570LS1224 control card are discontinued, so you cannot buy them any longer. You can still access the reference design (and related software) from this page: www.ti.com/.../TIDM-RM46XDRV8301KIT

    This reference design was done for the RM46x MCU, which is very similar to the TMS570LS1224 in terms of the peripheral mix. You can use the software as reference for your application, with the necessary disclaimers of course.

    Will there be any future expansion of support for Hercules? Seems like updates and new software/hardware have not happened in a while and we are a little worried about adopting a new MCU that will no longer be supported.
