Hi all,

I have tested the lwip example from" http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/HALCoGen_Ethernet_Driver_and_lwIP_Integration_Demonstration" and also tried the loopback example code, both worked fine.

But, now when I am using the HALCoGen generated code for EMAC loopback example, receive is not happening. I have observed some changes in the HALCoGen generated code unlike the previous one.

Now I am using 'HALCoGen 04.07.00'. All the configurations done on HALCoGen is same as that of the previous one(Ethernet example code) .

Is there any new configurations to be done in this version of HALCoGen for proper working of Ethernet.

*NB: The controller is 'TMS570LC4357' , MII mode, FULL DUPLEX, 100Mbps speed, PHY - Marvell's 88Q1010.

kindly give solutions and advises ASAP.

Hello Ramesh,

The code generated through the HALCoGen is for external loopback. The loopback jack is needed to route the RX back to TX.

Hi Wang,

thanks for your replay.
But internal loopback (with out loopback jack) actually worked for the previous code(driver files from 'processors.wiki.ti.com/.../HALCoGen_Ethernet_Driver_and_lwIP_Integration_Demonstration') . RX and TX octets are having the same no of data. How come that happens?

Hi Ramesh,

I am sorry. I disabled the EMAC loopback to test the external loopback using loopback jack. The HALCoGen generated code is for internal loopback. You mean that using lwip demo code for loopback (modify the code manually to enable EMAC internal loopback) works wthout any problem? I will do a test.
