TM4C1294NCPDT: Regarding Tiva 129 SSI with ic-MU Encoder

Part Number: TM4C1294NCPDT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3356

Hi,

I have a custom board with Tiva TM4C1294NCPDT. This board will be connected to a iC-MU position encoder which is provided by the client. This encoder supports SSI interface.

I have only clock (PA2) and tx(PA4) of Tiva connected with the encoder. I read from the Tiva 129 data sheet that PA4 can be configured bi-directional mode. Does it means if PA can be used for TX or RX?

My requirement is that I need to read a register called Status0 register of the encoder using SSI.

Can it be achieved ? I have only one pin for data PA4.?

Regards,

Pradeep
