I am trying to explore N2HET engine for my Motor control program. Had ordered the Launch pad XL2-570LC43. Now installed "HET IDE-03.05.01-windows-installer.exe". Ussing CCS version 6.

Approach: Configure 1 pin in N2HET for PWM generation, and updated PWM values from CPU to N2HET RAM and check Cycle is changing or not. This behviour want o observe in HET_IDE and debug to get better understanding over the N2HET.

I am following steps provided in "HET IDE Tutorial"(spnu485c.pdf) ,  on following steps provided in section "2.1.2 Step-By-Step Instructions",  after loading HET program nothing happened, only waveform free is coming and all options in "Tools" are grayed out.  run option is not enabled. even tried getting License and getting error for license activation error. 

My understanding even without license for should be able to see PWM generation of waveform, please clarify.

Could you please help me what is that doing wrong way. Thanks in Advance.

    Hello Rajesh,

    No license is required to run the simulation with HET IDE.

    After assembling and loading the code, the RUN button should be in active. But if the STOP is pressed accidently at this moment, the RUN button will be des-activated (grayed out). You need to click RESTART-SIMULATOR button to go back to the simulation mode.

    Thank you very much for reply.

    However My problem is run comaand isdisable permentely not in between simulation. I am aware between simulation, simulator need to restart.

    After HTE IDE install,

    1. loading the tutorial example program

    2. option Debug-> Assemble, no errors were observed

    3. Option "Load Het Program"  opening Waveviwere free

    but on HTE IDE, Run, Run for loops options are disable.

    Tried multiple times uninstall and install, but no luck. Any suggestions.

    Hello,

    Just tried tut1_overview and DEMO_HET1 using HET IDE 03.05.01, did not have any problem. Try to close the program, then restart HET IDE. I use Windows 10.
