TM4C1294NCPDT: EPI module pin confuse

Hi,

Is there any contrariety at "ALE with Dual CSn Configuration" between  In Tiva TM4C1294NCPDT Microcontroller datasheet (June 18,2014) at page 827 and Tiva C Series TM4C129x ROM User's Guide (May 14, 2014) at page 172?

In Tiva TM4C1294NCPDT Microcontroller datasheet (June 18,2014) at page 827: ALE EPI0S30, CS0n EPI0S26 and CS1n EPI0S27.

In Tiva C Series TM4C129x ROM User's Guide (May 14, 2014) at page 172: ALE EPI0S30, CS0n EPI0S27 and CS1n EPI0S26.

As you see above, CS0n and CS1n are assigned different pins. Which one is correct?

    Hello Koray,

    Please see this prior E2E post that covers your question and additionally walks through possible addressing concerns dependent on how the hardware is setup: https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/other/f/908/p/431469/1545220

    The short version is the datasheet is correct for the pinout but there are still other issues regarding the address that the datasheet is not accurate with. These can all be resolved in SW.

    Hello Ralph,

    Thank you for your quick reply. I looked at the prior E2E post and I understood the problem.

    I want to ask you another question related with chip select.

    Our PCB has been laid out and EPI0S25 is connected to other memory as a CS2n chip select.

    I think that EPI0S34 should be connected instead of EPI0S25 as CS2n. Am I right?

    If I am right, the PCB has to be laid out again.

    Hello Koray,

    Are you using ALE with Quad CSn Configuration for that case? If so then yes.

    So far we have been discussing ALE with Dual CSn Configuration so want to make sure we are on the same page on what mode is being discussed.

    I am using ALE with Quad CSn Configuration. However, before starting quad CSn configuration, I wanted to try dual CSn configuration and I saw the contrariety. Thanks for your help and quick reply.
