Dear TI Specialists,
I am looking for more information in form of documents/manuals/application notes or tutorials regarding to the Flash Mirror Mode in the TI TMS570LS122x family.
The Datasheet of the TMS570LS1224 (SPNS190B - p.69) points out where the Flash (1.25MB) (Mirrored Image) area begins.
Loooking into the TRM (SPNU515C), not a lot of information was revealed to me concerning the usage of the Flash Mirror Mode:
- It is used for the ECC Data Correction Diagnostics (SPNU515C, p.283).
Other forum threads have revealed different usage of the Flash Mirror Mode, but they do not refer to the TMS570LS122x family.
This thread covers a field update solution using the mirrored flash, which is actually what I am trying to achieve with the TMS570LS1224.
In another thread somebody pointed to the TRM of the MSP432E4 (
), in particular section 7.2.3.3 Flash Mirror Mode. Although it is a completely different MCU, it gives a rough overview of the capabilities of the mirror mode.
Can You explain to me what is the usage of the Flash Mirror Mode and where I can get additional information about this mechanism?
