We are planning to design and develop Programmable Logic Controller using TM4C1294NCPDT Micro Controller.

Our aim is to design PLC and logical operations should be performed basing configured ladder logic or any other standard PLC Programming languages.

Please guide us how to kick start our development process using EK-TM4C1294XL Evaluation Kit.

Thanks for choosing Tiva MCU.

Please download the latest TivaWare library from https://www.ti.com/tool/download/SW-TM4C. The TivaWare library is a suite of software tools designed to simplify and speed development of Tiva MCU applications..

Once you download you can explore the many examples and build your application by referencing them. Below are list of examples. These examples are

complete CCS projects. You can simply load them into flash and start running. I will suggest you start with either the blinky, hello or the project0 examples to get a feel of the TivaWare peripheral drivers API.

All documentation can be found in C:\ti\TivaWare_C_Series-2.2.0.295\docs.

The thread TIDA-00123 indicates this reference design has been obsoleted, and it doesn't look like there is a replacement.

Hi Veeraswamy,

We don't have any PLC examples or TI design specifically using TM4C129 MCU. While the reference design you linked is for TM4C123, it shares the same architecture with the TM4C129 MCU and very much the same peripheral driver software with few exceptions. I will suggest you start with that reference design. If you have any specific MCU questions, we will be able to support you. Regarding PLC application, that is more a system level application we really don't have much experience with it.

Here is a TI website that offers PLC solutions using other TI processors (not Tiva MCU) that you can also take a look.
