EK-TM4C123GXL: Shunt resistors, R9 and R10

Part Number: EK-TM4C123GXL

What are the unintended consequences of removing the R9 and R10 shunt resistors from a Tiva Launchpad?

I just finished de-bugging a problem with an SPI peripheral using a Tiva Launchpad that required removing the shunt resistors:  The voltages on CS and SCK pins for SPI module 3 were too low to control the peripheral when PB6 and PB7 are held LOW.  Now I am wondering what effect the removal of the shunts will have on other features of the development board.  Surely they were there for a reason.

Thanks,

Jack
